Davido Finally Reveals Why He insulted Top Music Video Director, Sesan Over Skelewu Video Shot In Nigeria

When the singer released the song, he tasked his fans to record the 'Skelewu' dance with any device of their choices and upload such on the internet. This was exactly what D'Banj did when he released his smash hit single, 'Oliver Twist'.

As expected, many people responded to it and in a short time, the 'Omo Baba Olowo' announced that he was shooting the music video of the song.

However, before its official release, the music video, shot by Sesan, reportedly leaked on the internet, but the video received knocks from fans, who felt disappointed at the work. As a way of damage control, Davido took to twitter to dissociate himself from the video and slammed Sesan for the job.

He thereafter announced that he was contracting UK-based music video director, Moe Musa for another shoot of the song. Though the second job fell below expectation, Davido later gave up on the job after he was slammed by his fans as he was allegedly planning to shoot a third video for the song.

Speaking recently on why he publicly took on Sesan, Davido declared that he felt bad about what Sesan did because he had expected much from him.

Corroborating him, his cousin, Shina Rambo, lamented that Sesan didn't do what was expected from him. He said they were angry with him (Sesan) because they paid hugely for the job and thought he would do what would be appreciated by all.

REVEALED:Facebook is read daily more than bible(How shocking is that?)

Contrary to God's instruction in the Bible that says 'meditate in my words day and night', it has been revealed that more Americans check Facebook daily than they read the Bible. And facebook has more monthly users worldwide than most continents have people.

Facebook, which celebrates its 10th anniversary, has 757 million daily active users worldwide. Of those 19% are in the US and Canada, so that's more than 143 million people checking Facebook daily.

The Bible used to be the go-to for statistics about reading, pre-digital age. A 2006 CBS News poll found 15% of US adults read the Bible or other religious texts daily. There are about 267 million adults in the US and Canada. That means about 40 million people reading the Bible daily.

And then there are monthly users - Facebook claims 1.23 billion of them. That's more people than live in any country but China. In fact, Facebook is beyond comparing to nations and is more continental in magnitude. Facebook's monthly user population is larger than six of the seven continents, only behind Asia.

Facebook's monthly user total is about the population of all of North America and Europe combined.

But all those numbers pale behind this one factoid from Facebook: About 400 billion photos have been shared on Facebook.

That's lots of selfies.

If you printed them out four to a page on regular-sized sheets of paper and put the 100 billion sheets end to end, they would stretch for about 27 million kilometres. That's enough snapshots to reach to the moon and back 34 times.

And it all started ten years ago in a dormitory room.

Cancer now world's biggest killer disease

With over 8.2 million people dying of all manner of cancer yearly, it is now the highest killer disease in the world.

This is as the International Agency for Research on Cancer says Nigeria has the highest number of women dying from cervical cancer in Africa.

The agency released the report on Tuesday in Geneva, Switzerland as the United Nations marked the World Cancer Day.

The report noted that the world recorded more than 14.1 million of cancer cases in 2012 while its incidence rose by 11 per cent in the last four years.

The report stated, "As a single entity, cancer is the biggest cause of mortality worldwide. There is an estimated 8.2 million deaths from cancer in 2012 while 14.1 million cancer cases were recorded in the same year-equal to the population of India's largest city Mumbai. Cancer cases worldwide will rise by 75 per cent and reach close to 25 million over the next two decades."

It added that deaths occasioned by the disease were growing at an alarming rate, particularly among the poor and those living in low and middle-income countries.

The Director of the agency, Dr. Christopher Wild, in the report also noted that Africa, Asia and South America topped the list of continents with the highest cancer cases and deaths in the world.

He said, "Sixty per cent of the world's new cases of cancer occur in Africa and Asia. These new figures and projections send a strong signal that immediate action is necessary to confront this human disaster, which touches every community worldwide without exceptions. The rise of cancer worldwide is a major obstacle to human development and well-being."

Besides, the report said Nigeria was second after India among countries with the highest cervical cancer deaths.

Countries with worse indices, it added, were Brazil and Bangladesh.

According to the report, these four countries account for 50 per cent of cervical cancer deaths in the world.

Speaking on the theme of the 2014 World Cancer Day, "Debunking the Myth & Vaccinate Your Goals", a professor of Radiology at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Nsukka, Enugu, Ifeoma Okoye, urged the FG and other stakeholders to work towards providing HPV vaccines against cervical cancer in the country.

Speaking on "Debunking the Myth & Vaccinate Your Goals", on Tuesday, Okoye, who called for the inclusion of the vaccine in the national immunisation scheme, said it would greatly help in the reduction of cervical cancer in the country.

She said, "About 14,550 cervical cancer cases are diagnosed annually in Nigerian women within the age range of 15 and 44 years. Unfortunately, no fewer than 9,569 of them die of it due to late detection and prevention. Yet, this is the most preventable cancer in the world."

She also stressed on the need for the authorities to ban smoking in public places as well as to enforce other environmental laws to check the increasing cases of liver and lung cancers in the country.

She added, "Tobacco control has been effective all over the world except in developing countries like Nigeria where people smoke at will at any time. Even for those that do not smoke, they inhale smoke from generators and car. If you are around someone that smokes, there is the likelihood that you can inhale 60 per cent of the smoke. You might as well be smoking because you are affected.

"The incidence of lung and liver cancers has been linked with the increased urbanisation. It is the government that can enforce tobacco control and reduce the environmental risks associated with cancer."

Windows 2003, Xp to stop functioning as users are adviced to upgrade

Like it or not, global devices and services giant Microsoft has announced the official end of support for Windows XP, Windows XP Professional for Embedded Systems and Office 2003 by April 8, 2014 and therefore urges its customers and partners to migrate to Windows 8 and Office 2013 platform.
Now, ending support in this context means that for Windows XP, Windows XP Professional for Embedded Systems and Office 2003, partners and customers will no longer receive security updates and technical support from Microsoft, which will result in vulnerability to security threats.
According to Oluyomi Alarape, Datacenter Solutions & Sales at Microsoft Nigeria, "There are several re-engineering and attacks that needs to be catered for as a result of the changing technology landscape. Businesses stand to have huge risks if they do not migrate because there will be no security updates to meet security requirements"
In addition, Windows 8 provides mobile security through Bit locker, "Windows To Go", is a full version of Windows 8 on a USB stick which readily support BYOD "Bring Your Own Device" initiatives.

Awawu Olumide-Sojinrin, Acting Country Manager, Microsoft Nigeria while speaking at a media briefing to announce end of support for the Windows XP and Office 2003 in Lagos, explained that Microsoft is proactive in communicating changes that are critical and important to our customers. As a result, she said Microsoft is taking its time to notify its customers and partners ahead of the April 8 2014 deadline.

Windows 8 is Microsoft's latest operating system for modern businesses, building on Windows 7 fundamentals such as speed, reliability and security while creating a modern platform for the new generation of hardware experiences from tablets and innovative touch devices to traditional desktops and laptops.

Tom Arnold Works to Maintain Weight Loss 'Every Day'

Tom Arnold lost 89 lbs. last year by changing his diet and exercising, but continuing to keep a healthy lifestyle is a difficult task he faces each day.

"Every day I'm working at it. It can be challenging and some days I do better than others," Arnold, 54, told PEOPLE at DirecTV's annual Celebrity Beach Bowl football game in New York City on Saturday.

"Every other time I lost weight and got to my goal, I ended up gaining it all back. This time it's a lifestyle change and it's also for my wife [Ashley, 38] and son [Jax, 9 months]. So every day I work on it. I just have to be aware of it and it gets a little bit easier."

But with Sunday's Super Bowl game comes lots of temptation to eat chicken wings, potato chips, pizza and drink beer and soda.

"I know I'm going into this slippery area. I do watch the commercials, and it is brutal because the food looks so good in these commercials, and I'm thinking how am I going to not go off the rails," said the comedian.

His answer is to plan ahead and make sure there are plenty of healthy dishes.

"For the Super Bowl, my wife is making nachos that are wonderful with flax seed, and pizza with a cauliflower crust that's crispy on the outside," said the My Big Redneck Wedding host. "It's healthy and tastes great!"

Arnold admits he will eventually cheat, and that's fine with him.

"I've been going through a lot of airports lately and they have Cinnabon and I know one day I will stop and eat one of those. They are so good," he said with a laugh. "When that happens, I will get back at it and continue to eat healthy and exercise. It's okay to cheat once in a while. I know it's okay."

Taylor Swift: I Find It Easy to Keep My Clothes On

WELCOME TO NERDTWIST

Taylor Swift would like to make one thing very clear: Public nakedness simply isn't her thing.

"I find it relatively easy to keep my clothes on because I don't really feel like taking them off," she tells Glamour for its March cover story, out Feb. 11. "It's not an urge I have."

Besides, the singer-songwriter, 24, says she bares all in a far more intimate way already.

"For me, 'risky' is revealing what really happened in my life through music. Risky is writing confessional songs and telling the true story about a person with enough details so everyone knows who that person is. That's putting myself out there, maybe even more than taking my shirt off," she explains.

It's a risk that's paid off for the Grammy-winning musician, whose latest album, Red, hit No. 1 in more than 50 countries.

While some might not approve of her potentially taking aim so publicly at exes like John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Harry Styles and Conor Kennedy, the songstress says she's not one to play games while dating – unless provoked.

"I think everyone should approach relationships from the perspective of playing it straight and giving someone the benefit of the doubt. Until he establishes that this is a game," she tells the magazine.

"And if it's a game, you need to win. The best thing to do is just walk away from the table."

Paul Walker Leaves Entire $25 Million Estate to Daughter

Paul Walker died a wealthy man, and he left his entire estate in the hands of his 15-year-old daughter Meadow.

The Fast & Furious star, 40, who was killed in a fiery crash in November, was worth $25 million, according to his will obtained by PEOPLE.

But according to the documents, the inheritance came with complications.

Walker's dad, who is the named executor on the will, petitioned to have the court appoint the late actor's mom Cheryl as Meadow's legal guardian. But Walker's daughter currently lives with her mom, Rebecca Soteros.

According to what Walker requested, his dad also requested to have Cheryl be the guardian of the funds.

It's no surprise Walker left his all in the hands of his only child.

"He told me recently he was the happiest he'd ever been," Walker's close friend Brandon Birtell told PEOPLE shortly after his passing. "It was directly because of the growing relationship with his daughter and the clarity that brought to his life."

The prosecutor wanted Chris in jail, telling the judge, "He continues to pose an increasingly violent danger to society. Defendant Brown's violent behavior continues to increase in severity & frequency."

It was also revealed that additional witnesses have come forward in the D.C. case providing sufficient evidence to move forward with a trial, but fortunately for Chris, the judge denied the prosecutor's motion ruling instead that Chris Brown complete his 90 day rehab program.

Toddler Reduced to Tears by Sad Song (but Wants to Keep Listening)

Everybody knows the curiously specific sensation of feeling great about being sad. And now, thanks to the magic of YouTube, we have footage of a four-year-old discovering that feeling for the first time.

Mark Blitch writes that this is the first moment his son Jackson has been "moved" by a song. In this case, it's A Great Big World's "Say Something," which features Christina Aguilera. The video's more than a little reminiscent of the other "tiny person bawls at song" video of recent memory, in which a baby cries at a mother's rendition of Rod Stewart's "My Heart Can't Tell You No."

Our favorite part is probably Jackson's tearful thumbs-up at the end, indicating that he's okay and wants the song to continue, a gesture we gave many times in the summer of 2011, when Adele's "Someone Like You" was all over the airwaves.

Man, it's gonna be rough in Jackson's adolescence when he discovers The Smiths.

Secondary school students have decried the introduction of the 39 new subjects in this year's May/ June examinations, saying most of the subjects still lack teachers.

Speaking with Vanguard, the students said not having qualified teachers to handle the subjects would defeat the aim of introducing these subjects.

According to the students, "The initiative is a brilliant one, especially when you consider the fact that some students leave school without any hope of knowing what next to do. English Language, General Mathematics, Civic Education and Trade/Entrepreneurial Studies are compulsory for student who would also choose three or four subjects from Humanities, Science, Technology and Business Studies depending on their potential and interest.

Nigeria Can Build A New Refinery In 16 Days – PENGASSAN

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff
Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, has
lamented the federal government’s attitude to
the building of new refineries, describing as
flimsy any excuses given on funding.

The umbrella body for oil workers in the
country stated that the federal government
could have built new refineries if it wanted to
as Nigeria’s crude output for 16 days can fund
the building of a new refinery.

“To build a refinery today is about US$4 billion
(N640 billion). We produce not less than 2.4
million barrel of crude oil on a daily basis and
we sell at $108, which is the price all over the
world. Going by that calculation, we are
making about N41.2 billion daily,” Mr.
Folorunsho Ogini, Chairman, PENGASSAN,
Lagos Zone told Vanguard in an interview.
Ogini also decried the in the passage of the
Petroleum Industry Bill, a bill he noted would
address some of the challenges Nigeria’s oil
and gas sector faces.

“The question is; why is the PIB not signed
into law? Who is afraid of the PIB? These
people know quite well that if PIB is signed into
law, all these problems confronting the
nation’s oil and gas sector have been
addressed by the bill.

“These refineries we are talking about, they
were built pre-1989 and those who built the
refineries recently declared that the
technologies used in those refineries had been
phased out. What is stopping us from building
more refineries?
“The next question you will ask is, where is
this money going? When you look at our roads,
it is nothing to write home about. In the issue
of Education, you are living witnesses to when
lecturers went on strike for over five months.
Electricity; we do not have and infrastructure
generally, in every ramification, you cannot
equate us with ordinary Ghana.
“The question that is begging for an answer is,
if you are making over N41 billion daily, why is
poverty still ravaging the country? We have the
capacity to produce more than 2.4 million
barrels per day, but because of the ceiling by
the Organisation of Petroleum Export
Countries, OPEC, which we are a member,”
said Ogini.
“Singapore is a country that does not have
crude oil, they import, yet they have about 62
refineries. They buy the crude, refine and
make huge profit. Why is that Nigeria, that has
the crude and the manpower is wasting
because we cannot build refineries.”

The PIB if passed, according to Ogini will also
address the problems confronting the nation’s
refineries and how to make the refineries
work, with a Turn Around Maintenance, TAM
already scheduled.
The contents of the PIB which portrays a great
future for the country’s oil and gas sector
informed PENGASSAN’s decision to kick
against the sale of the refineries, according to
Ogini.
“What many people do not know is that, the
PIB has already taken into consideration all
that is needed for our refineries to work and be
a success story. Do you know what, we
discovered that government wanted to rush
the sale of the refineries because all the spare
parts for the TAM are already in the ship
coming to Nigeria and will arrive at any
moment?
“That was why some people were pressuring
government to sell the refineries as scraps so
that when the spare parts come, they would
take the spare parts to do the TAM and tell
Nigerians that they have done the magic and
that the refineries are now working.
“We have been talking about TAM for more
than 10 years. Late General Sani Abacha
awarded the contract twice for the TAM, but
nobody did anything in spite the fact that the
contract sum was paid. Till today, government
has not apprehended anybody.
“We insisted that no, you cannot sell the
refineries, you must wait for the spare parts to
come, do the TAM and let us see what would
happen next. Because they are people that
want to rip off the nation from the sale, they
were pressuring the government,” the Lagos
PENGASSAN chairman said.

How To Break Up With Someone Before Valentine's Day

Valentines day will soon be around the corner and
many Nigerian couples are busy thinking up new
ways to show their loved one how they really feel.

But this article is not for them, this article is for
those naughty ones who want to avoid the stress
and commitment that comes with being in love.

1. Do an internal evaluation. Really spend some
time to meditate and see if your feelings to resolve
the relationship are due to something temporary,
such as: a petty disagreement, a misunderstanding,
a miscommunication, hearsay, jealous feelings, etc,
or if it is a deal-breaker. Also, find out if you are at
your best in this relationship, or if this relationship
is your downfall. You should feel good being around
your "boo.'" You should feel comfortable and safe.
So, take some time to see if this is what you really
want to do. If it is.

2. Keep it on the "DL." If you have to consult your
bff or your mom, do so, but make sure they keep
your plans private. It's bad enough that Valentine's
Day is coming up, then to make matters worse, the
gossip has circulated and he/she finds out before
you have the time to talk. If everybody has been in
your business in the past, do your best to keep this
business to yourself until you have sealed the deal.

Be mature and have the decency to
3. Talk face to face. There is nothing worse than
finding a "Dear John" letter in an email or on a text.
Just because you are breaking up doesn't mean
you can't be classy or decent. Find a location that
is neutral and isn't crowded--a place that will
provide you with some intimate heart-to-heart
conversation with this sensitive matter.

4. Let it go. When you break-up, let it go. Do not
insist on being "friends" with the person you are
breaking up with. If you see your ex on a date, you
cannot get mad and confront him/her. You ex has a
right to start a new life since you broke it off, and
you have to realize that friendship might complicate
things even more. It is also best to end amicably, if
you can. If you can't then you should never result
to defamation or insulting your exes' character. And
last but not least…

5. Understand what you need. Before you get into
another relationship, understand what you need and
know where you are trying to go with your life. It
doesn't make sense to get into a rebound
relationship only to find out that you are not ready
for another commitment.
